Things to do:

• Assess the situation, move your vehicle to the curb if safe.

• Call the police to the scene to make a report.
• (Don’t give the other party cash; don’t sign anything.)
• Exchange information with the other party.

  • Take pictures of the scene; where the damages are on both cars involved.
• Call your car insurance to report the accident as soon as possible; if possible, while you’re at the scene.
